That was definitely one of the worst points in the game previously I felt like I was rolling around a block on square wheels. Good to know they are working on it, and that driving is improved.

The most noticeable improvement you'll see if you do start playing again is definitely the driving, its not perfect yet but its a of hell lot better than it used to be. One of the most annoying problems at the moment is the spawning system, I've had several occasions where the enemy has spawned behind me leaving me no chance. The game has a lot of potential but if I'm honest a lot hasn't changed from those versions, I believe the new developers are working hard to fix the problems from feedback but the changes are happening very slowly. I really hope this version makes it and improves upon their previous mistakes. The bugs it had, and how terrible the gameplay was in general just doomed it from the start.
